For Patients

Tuberculosis Information
Our Centre for Research Excellence in Tuberculosis partners with the Australasian Clinical Tuberculosis Network (ACTnet) to provide information about tuberculosis for patients, clinicians and policy-makers.
Rapid adoption of new evidence requires information to be presented to policymakers and clinicians clearly and accurately. The evidence dissemination working group will develop online education sessions for clinicians throughout Australia and New Zealand, with an open invitation to other countries in the region. This will be promoted through the TSANZ, ASID and the Australasian Clinical TB Network.
We are committed to working closely with affected communities to improve TB care and awareness. By partnering with local Community Advisory Boards, we will create tailored health materials to help people understand TB, reduce stigma, and support new approaches to prevention and treatment. These resources, informed by community input and qualitative research, will be available on the TB CRE website, including downloadable, multilingual information for patients and families in Australia, New Zealand, and the Indo-Pacific region.
