Prof. Steve Graham Co-led development of the Union online course and was lead facilitator of the pilot ToT in Lesotho in 2024. Lesotho is the first country to have since utilised it for training cascade and have since noted a sharp rise in child TB notifications and TPT coverage.

The course, aimed at healthcare workers and trainers in resource-limited and high TB burden settings, is designed to improve the management and care of children and adolescents with TB. The resources include:

  • A detailed facilitator manual

  • Slide presentations including transcript notes

  • Tools to enhance training skills, such as guidance on implementing the TeachBack approach

  • Case studies, role plays, job aids and practical exercises designed to align with the course’s objectives

Participants can learn at their own pace through The Union's Online Courses Platform.

This package is aligned with the most recent international guidance in child and adolescent TB and we encourage trainers to adapt the materials, where appropriate, to their settings and national guidelines.
