Discussion In Progress

We’re pleased to share that our Chief Investigator, Professor Greg Fox, is featured in the latest episode of The Solutionists, the University of Sydney podcast hosted by Vice-Chancellor and President Mark Scott.

The Solutionists highlights people tackling some of the most pressing issues of our time, from community wellbeing to environmental sustainability, offering listeners new perspectives and the remarkable ideas driving real-world solutions.

In this episode, Greg challenges the misconception that tuberculosis (TB) is a disease of the past, noting that more than 10 million people still fall ill each year, largely in communities facing poverty, overcrowding and major barriers to care. Drawing on his clinical work in Sydney and his research across Southeast Asia, he discusses Australia’s responsibility to its neighbours and the cultural challenges, including stigma, that make TB diagnosis and treatment so difficult in places like Vietnam.
