Congratulations to TB CRE investigators Professor Greg Fox and Dr Emily MacLean for their key contributions to a WHO-commissioned narrative review on drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB). This review informed the 2024 Bacterial Priority Pathogens List (Annex 4) and has been published in Clinical Microbiology Reviews.

The paper highlights DR-TB as a critical global health challenge, reviewing its epidemiology, advances in diagnostics and treatment, and calling for integrated, person-centered research approaches. This work will guide global policy and research priorities to accelerate progress toward ending TB.
